Professor Paul Chatrath is consultant ear nose and throat/head and neck surgeon covering both the London and Essex areas. About Paul Chatrath

Paul Chatrath is a skilled and highly accredited surgeon working throughout London and Essex. Having completed his preclinical medical degree at the University of Cambridge and subsequent clinical training at The Royal London Hospital Medical College, London, he went on to obtain his MBBS degree with distinctions in three subjects and was granted Proxime Accessit to the University of London Gold Medal. His basic surgical training in was undertaken in Cambridge and his higher surgical training in Otolaryngology (ENT Surgery) in North London.

He went on to pass the final FRCS (ORL-HNS) Intercollegiate examination and the award of a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in ENT. During his training, Professor Chatrath undertook a period of formal research which investigated the role of surface brushings of the larynx in discriminating between cancerous areas and benign (harmless) lesions. This went on to garner him the award of an MD higher research degree with the University Of London. He is now Professor of Rhinology at Canterbury Christ Church University, Kent, where he leads on the rhinology and facial plastic module of the innovative MCh(ENT).
